Pancreatic cancer: second opinions, centres and diagnostic prices

Second-opinion services, centres that publish a pancreatic cancer programme, and published prices for diagnostic tests, as each provider publishes them on its own website, checked on 2 November 2026.

This page is a list, not a ranking. It does not compare treatment, surgeons or outcomes, and it gives no prices for treatment. It is not medical advice: decisions about diagnosis and treatment belong with your own doctors. Facts and prices are shown as each provider published them on the date checked; ask the provider to confirm before you rely on them. What published studies show: treatment paths and complementary methods.

The centres list includes Canada: 13 centres, among them Princess Margaret in Toronto, founded as the Ontario Cancer Institute.

Centres with a pancreatic cancer programme

Grouped by country, alphabetical within a country. Official lists shows what we found on official lists (NCI designation, German Cancer Society certification via OncoMAP, OECI accreditation, ESMO designation, JCI), with a link to the list; a centre not shown on a list may simply not have been found in the list we retrieved. The hospital states is the hospital's own statement about itself. JCI is shown as confirmed only where we found a directory record; otherwise it appears only if the hospital states it.

Canada

Most Canadian centres state that patients come through a physician referral, and several limit planned care to people with Canadian provincial coverage; international patients are mentioned only where a centre states it.

Who pays — residents of Ontario. Specialist care in Ontario is covered by OHIP with a doctor's referral. OHIP pays for care abroad only with written prior approval from the Ministry of Health, requested by an Ontario doctor with a specialist's written confirmation, and only if the service is not experimental and either is not performed in Ontario or a delay in Ontario would risk death or irreversible harm. Without approval the patient pays everything; travel and accommodation are not covered. The ontario.ca page does not mention second opinions. Source: ontario.ca, OHIP-covered services outside Canada, updated 9 March 2026.
